The tests for the Character unit will be Tuesday and Wednesday, September 10-11. You will need to study the following:
  • Pattern statement- Students will need to memorize and be able to write word for word
  • Process questions - Be able to recognize the process questions for the unit.  We will give several process questions from other units and the unit studied.  The student will have to choose the process questions that belong in the character unit
  • Visual tool - Be able to draw and label the Chips and Salsa 2 and Holliday Rainbow visual tools
  • Vocabulary - You will complete sentences with the word, know synonyms and antonyms, know if the word is being used correctly, and be able to use the words in a meaning-rich sentence.  For example, "The little girl was haughty," doesn't explain the meaning of the word "haughty" in the sentence.  You would use, "The haughty little girl pulled the little boy's hair when she didn't give him the toy."
  • Performance Task test- Students will read a teacher-given story and complete one or more visual tools studied in the unit.  This is done all unit long in small group and in SPECS log.  This should be easy if the student is completing the SPECS log correctly and paying attention in small group
You can find all information to study in the green F&F folder.  Performance Task test will be Tuesday, September 10 and Vocabulary and Skill Knowledge will be on Wednesday, September 11.
